Auction organizers recall in particular the enthusiasm of Kip Winger, who sent us an autographed guitar for this campaign. The guitar features a photographic image of Winger on stage with Texas Radio Hall of Famer Dayna Steele, quite literally, auctioning the shirt of his back. In addition to Winger’s and Steele’s, autographs from other KLOL luminaries appear on the guitar, including Brian “The Boner” Shannon, Lanny “The Trafficmaster” Griffith, Outlaw Radio’s Grego, and the Night Watchman Keith Myles—all of whom served as KLOL auctioneers at one time.
