101 KLOL 2022 Reunion Coverage

February 7, 2022

Fans, friends and alumni of 101 KLOL, Houston’s legendary AOR, gathered on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 to celebrate each other and view the artwork of Milton Scott Phillips, the painter formerly known as Outlaw Radio’s Scott T. Phillips.

Among those in attendance were fellow Outlaw Grego, Traffic Master Lanny Griffith, Stevens and Pruett Producer Extraordinaire Brian Shannon, former station owner Jay Jones, former GM Patrick Fant, and record industry pro Patti Martin.

Dayna Steele, who traveled from her Palm Springs retreat to attend, brought as her surprise guest, Garth Hemp (now Kemp).

James “Moby” Carney engineered a quick flight in and out from Georgia to be a part of the celebration.

Mark Masters (Stubblefield) was among the first to arrive, followed by Jerry and Terry Kirksey, the identical twins who executed promotions events for the station during its heyday.

Actress/model Tiffanie Williams, once a KLOL promotions team member was on hand as was Houston Radio Platinum DJ, Christian’s Tailgate owner and former KLOL jock Chris Alan, who made it possible for KLOL’s Tim (Edwards) Trostle to attend.

The event was organized by former KLOL promotions director Doug Harris and presented in association with an exhibition of Phillip’s work during Wild at Art, benefitting the StellaNova Foundation.

The group plans to meet again during the Texas Radio Hall of Fame’s induction weekend, November 5, 2022, in Kilgore, TX.
